A day at Disneyland Paris
the park with the castle and, since 2026, Disney Adventure World with the world of Frozen, with the motorhome spending the night in the resort car park, three quarters of an hour by RER from Paris
Disneyland Paris opened on 12 April 1992 at Chessy, about thirty kilometres east of Paris, and today it is two parks facing each other, with the railway station in between. Disneyland Park is the one with Sleeping Beauty Castle, with Main Street and the four lands around it. The second, which used to be called Walt Disney Studios, has been Disney Adventure World since 29 March 2026: a new avenue around a lake, the world of Frozen with the village of Arendelle and Elsa's mountain, and the Pixar and Avengers areas. For those travelling by motorhome Disneyland is easy to reach and expensive to enjoy: the resort has a car park for motorhomes where you can also spend the night, the Jablines campsite is nine kilometres away with the bus, and from Paris you come on the RER A without moving the motorhome. The ticket has a date and a price that changes with the day, on busy days the queues are long, and animals are not allowed into the parks: the dog stays at a kennel at the car park, if there is room.
Getting there
The two parks stand on the same plaza, between the train and bus station on one side and the gates on the other. The motorhome is left in the resort car park, where it can also stay the night, or at a campsite, and you arrive on foot from the train or the bus.
- From Paris take the RER A towards Marne-la-Vallée-Chessy, which is the terminus: from Châtelet-Les Halles it takes about three quarters of an hour, and outside rush hour there is a train every ten minutes, every day. The ticket is the metro one, 2.55 euros in 2026. On arrival one of the station exits leads straight to the parks. From the Maisons-Laffitte campsite, at the other end of the RER A, the train is direct
- From the Jablines campsite public bus 2263 leaves every day, and in twenty minutes it is at Disneyland
- By motorhome, the car park avenue is the boulevard du Parc, at Coupvray, and it leads to the toll booths. The visitor car park has a section for motorhomes, with spaces for people with disabilities, as Disneyland's accessibility guide says. A motorhome pays 40 euros a day, and with the same rate it can also stay the night: the dated receipt and the QR code open the motorhome area until 10:00 the next morning, and leaving later costs another day. The car park opens at 8:00; caravans and trailers are not allowed in. Water and waste disposal are not mentioned on the website: do them beforehand, at a service area or at a campsite
- Between the parks and the Disney hotels free shuttles run, wheelchair accessible; electric mobility scooters for people with disabilities are not allowed on board
Practical information
The ticket is bought in advance, on the official website, choosing the day and whether it is for one park or both. The prices and opening hours for spring 2027 have not yet been published: check them on the calendar on the website, and those for the day on the app.

Price the ticket has a date, and the price changes with the day: check it on the calendar on the official website
When to go all year, best on weekdays outside the French school holidays
Suitable for families with children, even small ones: Fantasyland has the rides for them, and most attractions are not recommended under one year of age. Many attractions have height limits: at Autopia you drive alone from 1.32 metres, and from 81 centimetres with an adult. Pushchairs and wheelchairs can be hired in both parks, without booking, while they last. Animals are not allowed in, except assistance dogs
Booking the ticket has a date and is bought in advance on the official website; it is also sold at the reception of the Jablines and Champigny campsites. Those with a recognised disability ask for the Priority Card at the dedicated ticket desks at the entrance, or before the trip on the website, with a certificate in French or English

Notes
- Disneyland Park: you enter by passing under the steam train station, into the square of Main Street U.S.A., the shopping street in perspective that ends in front of the castle, with two parallel covered arcades, Liberty Arcade and Discovery Arcade, which come in handy when it rains. Then, in a circle around the castle: Frontierland, with Big Thunder Mountain on an island and the paddle steamers on the lake; Adventureland, with Pirates of the Caribbean, La Cabane des Robinson up in the tree and the caves of Adventure Isle to explore on foot; Fantasyland, with Sleeping Beauty Castle, Peter Pan's Flight, It's a Small World, Le Carrousel de Lancelot and Alice's maze, the part for the youngest; Discoveryland, with Hyperspace Mountain, Star Tours, Orbitron and Autopia
- The steam train, the Disneyland Railroad, goes round the park in about half an hour with four stations, Main Street, Frontierland, Fantasyland and Discoveryland: you get on and off where you like, and it is the way to cross the park for those who cannot walk far. Under the Main Street station there is a lift
- Ride times, from Disney's map: Pirates of the Caribbean ten minutes, with two drops into the water and splashes; It's a Small World ten; the Frontierland steamboats a quarter of an hour; La Cabane des Robinson a quarter of an hour, with many steps; Big Thunder Mountain, Hyperspace Mountain and Peter Pan's Flight about five. The dragon's cave, under the castle, cannot be reached in a wheelchair
- Disney Adventure World: you enter through World Premiere Plaza, and the new avenue, Adventure Way, runs around the lake of Adventure Bay, with themed gardens, the marching band and the Rapunzel ride, with gondolas turning beneath the lanterns. World of Frozen is the village of Arendelle beneath the North Mountain, thirty-six metres high, with Elsa's ice palace at the top: inside is Frozen Ever After, a boat ride for all ages, and on the bay, several times a day, the quarter-hour celebration of A Celebration in Arendelle. In the evening there is the Disney Cascade of Lights show on the lake, with drones. Then there are the Pixar and Avengers areas, and a Lion King area has been under construction since autumn 2025
- Opening hours change with the season: for dates far ahead the calendar on the official website is not yet open, and those for late April 2027 have not been published. Attractions closed for works are listed on the website: check before setting off
- Prices change with the day and with demand: check them on the calendar on the official website for the chosen day, together with that of Disney Premier Access, the paid ticket that lets you skip the queue. Among the dated tickets there is a one-park ticket and a two-park ticket
- With a dog: it is not allowed into the parks. Near the visitor car park there is a kennel for animals, the Animal Care Centre, for a fee, but it has few places, cannot be booked and when it is full it takes no one: Disney itself advises making other arrangements before coming. For assistance dogs the kennel is free
- Food: in Disneyland Park the restaurant inside Pirates of the Caribbean, and in Disney Adventure World the Nordic Crowns Tavern in Arendelle, with salmon or Nordic meatballs and gluten-free and vegan dishes; on the new avenue there is the first bar inside a park, at the Regal View Restaurant
- Between late April and early May 2027: the schools of zone A are on holiday until 25 April and those of zone B, the north and west of France, until 2 May; Saturday 1 May is a public holiday, and from Thursday 6 to Sunday 9 May there is the Ascension long weekend. The least crowded days, on the French calendar, are Monday 3 to Wednesday 5 May. The holidays of the other neighbouring countries are not counted here
- The photographs on this page are few and do not show the parks: in France there is no freedom of panorama, and the attractions, the castles and the characters are protected works
